About Korean Martial Arts Center

KMAC is a traditional Hapkido school in Chino Hills serving families from Chino, Pomona, Diamond Bar, and Eastvale. We are not a franchise. Every class is taught by Master Alex Quenneville or one of our certified black belt instructors, including two World Hapkido Champions.

Our curriculum is certified by the World Kido Federation (international) and the Hanminjok Hapkido Association, a body sponsored by the Korean government. When your child earns a belt at KMAC, that rank is registered with both organizations and recognized worldwide.

We work primarily with children ages 7-13, and most of what we do is invisible to parents at first. The kid who used to avoid eye contact starts holding it. The one who barely spoke up in class starts leading group warm-ups. Within 10 months of starting, one of our students, a child with anxiety who joined after a goal-setting seminar, led a team demonstration in front of over 400 spectators.

Korean Martial Arts Center draws its lineage from the founders of Kuk Sool Hapkido. Grandmaster In Sun Seo brought the art to international prominence after being invited to perform for the Korean government on national television. He currently serves as Chairman of the World Kido Federation. His son, Grandmaster Steve Seo, was appointed President of the World Kido Federation in 2024.

Grandmaster In Shuk Pak was among the first Masters to carry Kuk Sool Hapkido outside of Korea, traveling from Germany to Canada and training practitioners across North America. He is the direct instructor of Chief Master Ivan Bergeron, a pioneer for martial arts in Canada who has studied Hapkido for over 60 years.

Chief Master Bergeron is the direct instructor of Master Alex Quenneville, KMAC's founder and head instructor. That line of transmission, from the founders of the art to the mat in Chino Hills, is what every KMAC student steps into on their first day.
